Team Rubicon Powered by Ford
Natural disasters including flooding, wildfires, tornadoes and hurricanes impact more and more people each year. We’ve expanded our partnership with Team Rubicon in a new disaster relief effort, Team Rubicon Powered by Ford, and Ford employees can join in to support their communities to prepare, rebuild and recover.
Many Ford employees have already joined Team Rubicon's "Greyshirt" volunteers in Detroit cleaning out homes damaged by the 2021 floods and in Houston rebuilding homes affected by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
Ready to join a Team Rubicon volunteer project?
Learn more about how to get involved by signing up to become a Team Rubicon Greyshirt. By becoming a Greyshirt you will receive text alerts for current operations happening around the country. Please make sure to select FORD as your affiliation.
We are in the process of revising our paid time off policy to allow for more flexibility to deploy with Team Rubicon. We currently have 16 hours of paid time for full-time employees.
Don't forget to follow Team Rubicon on Instagram and check out their new 13-episode series on Roku.

Global Caring Month
Each September, the Ford Volunteer Corps rallies employees to design their own volunteer projects as part of our annual month-long community service initiative, Global Caring Month.
Employees choose an organization or issue they care about most in their communities and propose a unique volunteer project in partnership with a local nonprofit – from building homes or renovating schools, to cleaning up parks, installing clean water systems, distributing fresh food and more.
Ford Fund provides grants to the nonprofits to buy tools and supplies necessary to complete the project.
In 2022, more than $895,000 USD in grant funding was provided to 126 employee-nominated nonprofits in 30 countries.
