Girls age 14 and 15 participate in STEM programming at Loughborough University

LONDON — Teamwork, problem solving and essential skill development were among the goals as 50 girls aged 14 and 15 joined the Year 10 Girls into STEM program at Loughborough University. With support from Ford Fund, the students were introduced to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) through workshops and hands-on experiences that included design and architecture, computer science, robotics, environmental factors and smart mobility. During the four-day residential program, the girls were challenged to use their creativity and share ideas to develop a sustainable community for the future. They presented their innovations to a panel of judges from Ford and Ford Fund.
